Author’s note on making Onion Tambli:
I prepare Onion Tambli (Kande tambli) and other tambli recipes quite oftenly due to it’s ease of preparation and its health benefits. Tambli dishes are prepared without fire so it retains all the nutrients of the vegetables used. It is light on stomach and hence a best accompaniment to have along with steamed rice.
Onion Tambli is very easy to prepare. First you need to grind the masala and then add finely chopped onion at last minute. One can prepare the masala much in advance and store it in refrigerator. But remember add onion only at the last minute. Once onion is added then consume it immediately. The shelf time of this dish is just a couple of hours.
