Hello all, presenting a very very tasty and delightful paneer recipe for you all. I love milk and all sort of milk products right from my childhood and especially paneer dishes are my favorite. I can munch these dishes single handed. And this chatpata reicpe is something which I can’t resist to eat. When I did it for the first time it came out so nice that I do this recipe every now and then.
The key feature of this dish is, it has all kinds of tastes. We use chilli powder, dhaniya powder, chat masala, lime juice, asafoetida, different types of sauces and all these impart altogether different taste to this dish. Finally adding paneer to all this takes this dish to next level. As soon as you put it in your mouth you can feel the soft paneer with all the tastes. Your almost all taste buds gets active. The only thing you have to take is care is, use fresh paneer, that’s all.

Paneer Chatpata | Chatpata paneer recipe
Ingredients
- 200g (1 cup) Paneer
- 1 (medium sized) Onion finely chopped
- 7-8 (cloves) garlic
- 1 (inch) Ginger finely chopped
- 50g (4tsp) Ghee
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander powder (Dhaniya powder)
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Green chili sauce
- 1 tsp Soya sauce
- 2 (piece) Green chili
- 1 tsp Lime juice
- 1/2 tsp Chat masala
- 1 (bunch) Coriander leaves Chopped
- a pinch Asafoetida (powder)
- Salt According to Taste
Instructions
- Put 4 tsp ghee in a pan and heat it
- Now add about 1.5 tsp finely chopped ginger and 1.5 tsp finely chopped garlic cloves.
- Roast them into golden brown to get crispy texture. This is key step of the dish. These two ingredients give crispy and exotic taste to the dish.
- Once ginger and garlic is roasted then add finely chopped medium sized onion and 2 pieces of green chilli (cut pieces). Fry till the onion gets light golden yellow colour.
- Now its time to add all masala powders. Add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp dhaniya (coriander) powder and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. Roast it for a minute
- Now add all the sauces. First 2 tsp tomato sauce, then 1 tsp green chilli sauce and 1 tsp soya sauce. Mix all the ingredients well
- Add salt according to taste. Add a little more salt as paneer absorbs some salt.
- Add a little water so that the mixture don't over burn and stick to the bottom.
- Now add the paneer cubes
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly so that paneer absorbs the ingredients
- Add haft tsp asafoetida powder. This gives special taste and also helps digestion
- Add few chopped coriander leaves and mix well
- Now add 1 tsp lime juice. This gives tangy taste to the dish. After adding lime juice switch off the flame.
- Now sprinkle half tsp chat masala and mix the ingredients for one last time.
- Transfer it to serving plate, Garnish with a little coriander leaves and there you go. Tasty chatpata paneer recipe is ready to munch.
