Banana Smoothie is a thick and healthy fruit drink made with banana and milk as key ingredients. Banana being all time and all season fruit one can make this drink any time they wish. This drink is known as “Rasayana” in coastal Karnataka, especially in Udupi and surroundings. Completely ripen banana gives good flavor and smooth texture to the smoothie. Adding vanilla ice cream enhances the flavor even more. One can use ice crushed with frozen banana and then blend it instead of using milk and ice cream. Ingredients
  

  • 5-6 Banana skin peeled off
  • 300 ml Milk
  • 25g 2 tsp Sugar
  • 50g Cashew Nuts cut pieces
  • 100 ml Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 6g 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • Chocolate Syrup optional

Instructions
 

  • Slice 5-6 Bananas into pieces and put in a blender
  • Pour 300 ml milk into it.
  • Add 100 ml of Vanilla ice cream
  • Add 2 tsp sugar into it
  • Add half tsp cardamom powder.
  • Blend the contents well to form thick milkshake
  • Put few cut pieces of cashew nut into each glass
  • Put chocolate syrup along the sides of the glass
  • Pour the smoothie milkshake into the glasses
  • Add few more cashew nut pieces at the top. Dry raisins and pistachios can be added too.
  • Decorate with little chocolate syrup on the top and refrigerate for a while.
  • Delicious and healthy Banana Smoothie is ready to consume
