Hello all, presenting one more Konkani Recipe “Churmundo” on my blog. This sweet is also called “Pitti Undo” at our place while rest people call it “Churmi Laddu”. I personally didn’t prepare this sweet until I got married. But at my husband’s place, during Ganesh Chathurthi all the women of our family prepare this sweet along with many other sweets, that is where I got to learn how to make churmundo.Few suggestions I would like to give is don’t add extra ghee. Take wheat flour and ghee in mentioned proportion. Add powdered sugar only after flame is lit off. Make Laddus when the mixture is still hot. Once it cools down then it is bit difficult to shape laddus. You can also add cashew nuts and pistachios to make this sweet have rich texture.
